Several years ago at holiday time the gang at Blooming Cookies® dressed up a product manager to look just like our adorable mascot, Bloomey, and sent him to a local Atlanta children's hospital. The mission was to bring some smiles to the kid's faces at a time of year that can traditionally be quite sad for them.
Bloomey arrived early Christmas morning while the children were still asleep. He hung personalized Christmas stockings for each of them on their beds. He also left all kinds of other Blooming Cookies gifts like toy wagons and trucks and rocking horses under the tree. Then he waited for the children to awake so he could wish them a very Merry Christmas and watch their happy reactions.
The warmth and merriment that followed was unequalled to anything he had ever seen before. “It gave me an even deeper sense of what giving to others at Christmas really means” he said. We pray that next Christmas, these children will experience even greater joy as they awaken in their very own homes with their families. |
