Bloomey Through the Years
 Back
in 1984 Blooming Cookies consisted of nothing more than a little dough, a few
long stems and an imaginary gardener named Bloomey.  Tasked
with the job of cultivating the delicious “Cookie Flours”, Bloomey
has remained our beloved mascot for 20 years.
 Throughout
those years, Bloomey has been represented in a variety of ways, even our
Founder, Ann King used to dress up in a baker outfit and hand deliver cookies
in our early days!  Many
of our customers have spanned these two decades with us, and Bloomey wanted to
give you a look back over the years of his reign. We hope you enjoy our mini
retrospective and continue to grow with us for the next 20 years.
The Original Story of Bloomey
 Bloomey
was tired. Hungry. And lost. Early that morning he had set out to explore the
enchanted Floury Forest when an unusual aroma led him off the Floury Path.
Bloomey could hardly believe his nose, for this was the unmistakable fragrance
of freshly baked cookies. It was a Field of Flours, quite unlike any that
Bloomey had ever seen before. In sampling this remarkable flora, Bloomey found
that their beauty was exceeded only buy their fresh, natural flavor. Making
good use of his gardening skills, Bloomey harvested as many cookies as his
little overalls could contain and then proceeded to fill his empty tummy.
Whether from weariness or shear contentment, Bloomey found himself dozing off.
When he finally awoke, he was not in the Forest, but found himself in his own
bed.
 Stunned,
he immediately checked his pockets. The cookies were gone. Digging deeper, he
pulled out a handful of glittery seeds. Ever the optimist, Bloomey raced out to
his Garden, thrust the mystical, magical seeds into the earth and waited. Soon,
his Garden flourished with the same generous flours he'd sampled in the Forest.
Over the years, Bloomey has  cultivated
some unusually tasty hybrids, working with everything from oatmeal raisin to
macadamia nuts. He never again found the enchanted Field in the Floury Forest.
But he did discover one important secret. These cookies are best when shared
with the people you love. Today, people come from miles around to visit Bloomey
and his Magic Garden, just yeast of Atlanta. But to fully appreciate the rare
beauty of this remarkable Garden, we'd advise you not to come alone. Bring your
friends and see the Master Dough Gardener at work nurturing the best-tasting
cookie flours for people like you to enjoy worldwide.
