Blooming Cookies Emphasizes Focus on Personalized Gifts
Atlanta (April 26, 2004) – Blooming Cookies Catalog Company is refining its
name and its approach, becoming "Blooming Cookies Personalized Gifts."
Founded 20 years ago by Ann King, Blooming Cookies delivers delicious gourmet
cookie baskets nationwide. The quality of its cookies and its emphasis on
customizing gifts are among he things that set it apart from the competition.
The company has always done some personalization, and the trend has really
taken off in recent years. It now accounts for 99% of the firm's business.
"To congratulate Hank Aaron on the recent 30th anniversary of hitting 715
homeruns, The Atlanta Mayors Office sent a personalized baseball hat full of
fresh gourmet cookies with 715 across the front and 30th anniversary across the
back," King recalls. "The truth is – anyone can have a gift with that degree of
personalization."
Blooming Cookies' artists can draw pictures of the recipients and write
personal messages on the "flour" pots, hats, doctors' bags, and other
containers that display the freshly-baked cookies. Even the cookie wrappers,
ribbons and boxes can display logos, pictures or personalized messages. The
best-selling rocking horses for new babies display the child's name and birth
date, and many families hang onto them as keepsakes.
Pots have been adorned with golf carts for retirees, the Statue of Liberty for
New Yorkers, scenes from Broadway shows – anything that reflects the interest
of the person who receives the gift.
Many businesses use the cookies as thank you gifts, or to accompany special
invitations. "We can put logos on the container, and even on the cookie
wrappers themselves," King says.
A recent survey of customers showed that they are most pleased with Blooming
